Public Sculpture - Letter Cutting
All types of carving are taught, each carving workshop based on your individual interest, whether carving in relief or the round.
It will be good if you have some idea to carve but bear in mind Carving isn't a quick end result. If you keep it simple in the beginning it will be more beneficial.
During the workshop, you will be guided through your partciular carving project, given advice about tool selection (some of which will be available to purchase). And their care and use with different types of stone.

Workshops are limited in numbers ensuring that you receive individual attention but also benefit from seeing other aspects of stone carving being carried out. Tuition empasises the use of hand tools in the traditional manner where skiil and technique turn a thought or drawing into a piece of your own, you will be surprised at just what you can do.
All workshops are great for beginners, giving a chance to have a hands on go or the more experienced allowing your techniques to grow with more in-depth pieces of work.
